No more Woodley
Woodley Proper is closing tonight in Encino, ending a nearly two-year run for the place. In its stead will come a new, as yet unnamed project from the same Scratch restaurant group, but this one will be helmed by chef Sam Nuckols. He’s previously been chef de cuisine at Cockscomb, and has worked at Trois Mec, Petit Crenn, and elsewhere. Expect that restaurant to arrive sometime this fall.
Trejo’s Tacos has taken over the former Loteria space at the Original Farmers Market off Fairfax. The actor-backed mini-chain opened for service over the weekend and will keep daily hours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Everson Royce Bar in the Arts District is now open for lunch, making that stretch of the city one of the busiest dining options anywhere, from Guerrilla to House of Machines to Firehose, Bestia, and beyond. And yes, they have the burger on the daytime menu.
