Celebrity Music: Supa Bwe Enlists Lonewolf for VHS-Styled Psychedelic Visual on “I Hate You”

Celebrity Music:

Chicago rapper Supa Bwe has released the official music video for his single “I Hate You.” His mixture of rap, punk and R&B sounds are paired with the Lonewolf-directed visual in a VHS-styled video that finds Bwe reflecting upon his words in the woods.

Overlayed with acid-trip graphic effects in the sky, the video has a number of reference points such as praying mantis’ which speak on the relationship and the power that Supa Bwe is exploring in his lyrics. Throughout the video, Bwe is alone and is seen to always be searching and looking for something in what is around him, supporting the lyrics “I’m lonely and the company helps (On the inside) / I need it but I hate you (On the outside).”

“I Hate You” features on Supa Bwe’s recently released EP Just Say Thank You, which you can stream on Apple Music and Spotify now.

In other news, no rappers were found on TIME Magazine‘s 100 Most Influential People List of 2019.
