Celebrity Culture:

NEW YORK–()–This May, Macy’s (NYSE:M) celebrates Asian Pacific American Heritage
Month by showcasing ways Asian Pacific cultures and traditions continue
and are honored through the use of comedy and humor. Celebrations at
select Macy’s stores nationwide will focus on conversations surrounding
the art of comedy in all of its forms including standup, comedic
writing, sitcoms and cinematic representations of Asian Pacific
Americans in today’s media and entertainment. Featured guests include
internationally recognized actors, writers and comedians including Jimmy
O. Yang (HBO’s “Silicon Valley” and “Crazy Rich Asians”), Ronny Chieng
(Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” and “Crazy Rich Asians”), Joel Kim
Booster (“Shrill,” “Big Mouth”) and Rizwan Manji (SyFy’s “The Magicians”
and NBC’s “Outsourced”), as well as comedy group “Asian AF” and NBC’s
“Late Night with Seth Meyers” writer Karen Chee.

Macy’s Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in-store celebrations will
include comedy performances, meet and greet opportunities and moderated
discussions with featured comedians on the importance of their heritage
and its specific influence on their comedic careers in the entertainment
industry. These stars and supporting actors of well-known comedies bring
their humor in-store for special conversations on the impact their work
has on the next generation and how their culture and traditions helped
them get to where they are today.

values – it’s engrained in our company culture,” said Jose Gamio, Macy’s
senior director of Multicultural Community Engagement. “Macy’s believes
