He announced the closure of his chain of Jamie’s Italian on Tuesday, with 1,300 workers set to lose their jobs after 22 stores closed. 

Jamie Oliver, 43, netted £240 million during 20 years in the public eye, and his wife Jools has previously shown off their wealthy lifestyle, by giving a glimpse into their £8.9 million Grade II-listed mansion on Instagram.

In snaps taken and shared prior to news of Jamie’s restaurant chain going into administration, the couple showed off their glorious Hampstead Heath home which has seven bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen and a huge garden.

Inside, the chef has a well-fitted kitchen for all his culinary needs, and the room features a separate dining table for the family to sit and enjoy their meal in a more low-key setting.

It also doubled up as the perfect spot for Jamie’s children Poppy, 17, Daisy, 16, Petal, 10, Buddy Bear, eight and River, who is three in August, as they rang in the New Year as Jools shared an image of them excitedly welcoming in 2016.

This comes as the chef announced yesterday the struggling eateries would close, with 1,300 workers set to lose their jobs. 

The decision to put the business into administration triggered the closure of 22 restaurants, including 20 branches of Jamie’s Italian.

The latest accounts for the celebrity chef’s main restaurant business, Jamie’s Italian Limited, show the company made a loss of more than £29million on a turnover of £100million in 2017.
