We’d never have predicted it, but the newest celebrity bromance we’re totally obsessed with is Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Ryan Reynolds.
And they even have matching tattoos to prove their dedication.
Well, kind of…
Ryan, 42, shared a photo of him and The Rock, 47, pulling their shirts to the side to reveal their matching Polynesian tribal chest tattoos with the Deadpool star seemingly getting the same ink as his new BFF has famously had for years.
Joking about the ‘look’ on Instagram, Blake Lively’s husband posted: ‘I can only imagine how upset I was to discover this. #HobbsandShaw @therock #Rebecca’.
We’re going to go out on a limb here and assume his tatt is fake, but we’re into it anyway.
Dwayne found the whole thing hilarious, replying: ‘You pull your shirt back to reveal our ink and it looks cool & sexy. I pull my shirt back and it looks like an indicator that I eat women and children.
‘And please stop calling me, Rebecca. What happened to our “trust cone”?’
The pair will be starring in the Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw together, with Dwayne playing DSS agent Luke Hobbs, while Ryan makes a guest appearance as CIA agent Locke.
Ryan also shared one half of a ‘best friends’ necklace on his Instagram story, tagging The Rock, as he made sure nobody could mistake who his bestie was. Cute.
The pair’s chemistry is so great that they very well could be starring in more movies together… namely the Deadpool series Ryan is the star of as well as being confirmed for Netflix’s new movie Red Notice.
Rob Liefield, creator of the Marvel comic books wrote on Instagram that he wants Dwayne to join the cast: ‘Dearest @therock based on reports of outstanding chemistry between you and a familiar friend, I believe the next logical step is for you to join the Marvel Universe, as Garrison Kane in a future Deadpool installment.
‘You’re a natural and Kane is already celebrated by millions of comics fans who have thrilled to his adventures since I first introduced him in X-Force #2! Your pal, Rob!’
Dwayne responded: ‘Dearest Rob, thank you amigo. It’s true, in @HobbsAndShaw, I have insanely outstanding chemistry with our familiar friend. Since you created the characters, how does one Garrison Kane get along with one [Deadpool]?’
Rob also recently confirmed that a third instalment of the Deadpool movie series would indeed be coming – so this has GOT to happen.
