Neetu Kapoor stood like a rock beside Rishi Kapoor as the Bollywood star battled with cancer. And Rishi Kapoor never fails to give credit to his wife.

In an interview with Times Now, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor opened up on the actor’s battle with cancer. Talking about how Neetu has been his supportive system, Rishi said, “She has been a rock of Gibraltar, really really supported me without her I wouldn’t be not getting anywhere.”

Neetu then added, “It’s like I told you he became like my child and I wanted to do everything in my power that he should not be in pain, he should get whatever he wants.”

Rishi was diagnosed with cancer in September last year. He flew to New York the same month for treatment. He was declared cancer free in April this year and has been living in the Big Apple since, recovering from the disease.

This isn’t the first time Rishi has credited Neetu for his good health. In an earlier interview, he had said, “Neetu has stood by me like a rock. Otherwise I am too difficult a person to handle as far as food and drink are concerned.”

His son Ranbir visits him quite often along with Alia Bhatt. Kapoor had said, “My kids, Ranbir and Ridhima, have really shouldered my problems.”

Neetu always takes to Instagram to share pictures of the celebrities who pay a visit to Rishi Kapoor.

In a recent interview with Mid Day, Rishi expressed his wish to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi at his home in Mumbai. He said, “Celebrating Ganpati is a family tradition. So, I am hoping to be part of it.”

Next month Rishi will complete a year of living in New York. The veteran actor misses Mumbai and yearns to come back home.
