Los Angeles Police Department Officer Lizeth Lomeli told the Times that Jordan was behind the wheel of a BMW when it crashed into the side of a building at Cahuenga Boulevard and Romain Street at about 9:30 a.m. The longtime actor and author was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy is planned for Tuesday to determine how Leslie Jordan died after the BMW crashed at Cahuenga Boulevard and Romaine Street.
