“Overall, we’ve done a very good job,” said Katherine Lacey, a spokeswoman for Lakeland Electric. “We have 240 outages as of 9:45. We expect it to fluctuate a little bit throughout the day as ongoing storms move through the area.

Lakeland electrics crews left just before 10 am to restore power with winds gusting to less than 40 mph. Most outages are caused by fallen wires. “At this time we have no reports of broken poles or major damage,” Lacey said.
