Carding first made landfall as a super typhoon in Bordeaux, Quezon late Sunday afternoon, September 25, followed by another as a typhoon in Dingalan, Aurora in the evening. It then passed through Nueva Ecija, Tarlac and Zambales, before emerging over the coastal waters of Zambales in the early hours of Monday, September 26.

Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos expressed his condolences to the bereaved families of the five Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officers of the province of Bulacan who lost their lives in a rescue operation in San Miguel, Bulacan at the time of Super Typhoon Karding.

PAGASA’s weather forecast for Wednesday, February 15 said that no storms are currently observed or forming in the Philippine area of responsibility.
According to the advisory posted on the PAGASA website, as of 11:00 A.M. of February 15, the trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) located east of southeastern Mindanao will bring moderate to moderate to heavy rains to Visayas and Mindanao. However, this LPA is less likely to develop into a tropical depression.
