In another study, we learn that Americans find no significant differences between women and men in their ability to run a company, with numbers varying by sector.

In fact, in certain industries, women seem to have an advantage based on the survey results. 31% think a woman would do a better job managing a retail chain, while only 6% could say the same for a man. In healthcare, 19% thought a woman would be a better choice for hospital manager, while less than half (8%) said the same for a man.

Finally, working women can now earn higher wages than in the past, but still earn less than their male counterparts. Based on data from the US Census Bureau, a woman makes 80.5 cents for every dollar a man earns. And when it comes to top earners, job aggregator service Adzuna found that only 11% of those earning more than $100,000 a year are female employees.
