Roaring Fork Lodge is an impressive 6,312 square foot northern white cedar log home. It has 4 floors, which can comfortably accommodate up to 20 people. The home is located in downtown Gatlinburg and is convenient to all local attractions. Located at the end of a quiet street, you will have privacy when you are here. Gatlinburg And Pigeon Forge Cabin
Our cabin is rented directly from us, the owners. You will correspond with one of us if you call or text. We do not rent our cabins through a management company. Please note that our last review for this property was in October 2016, before a large fire destroyed the original lodge. We originally purchased Roaring Fork Lodge as our first vacation home in the spring of 2014. After several successful years as a rental, it was completely destroyed in the Gatlinburg fires on November 29, 2016. After a major cleanup and much red tape, we began the rebuild in 2018. Construction took about 3 years and felt much longer than we had hoped. We rebuilt using the same floor plan and concept as before, but we changed some parts and Roaring Fork became larger, more luxurious and equipped with more modern amenities.
The lodge is called “Roaring Fork Lodge” because it is located on a mountain about 200 feet above a fast-moving mountain stream called the Roaring Fork. This stream is one of the largest and fastest mountain streams in the national park. You can hear the “mooing” of the river below, especially after a good downpour. Sitting on the decks, watching the wildlife and listening to the river below is a great way to relax after a day of fun.
The lodge’s construction includes many premium materials such as Northern Canadian white cedar logs, solid granite slabs, hand-scraped hickory hardwood floors, knotty alder windows, ceramic tile showers and floors, custom cabinets and over 5,000 square feet of open space on the deck/terrace (most of it is covered). Our outdoor space features beautiful natural stone and shrubbery surrounding the upper and lower patio areas. You will be surrounded on 2 sides by a wooded area which guarantees you a lot of privacy. The back of the cabin opens to a view of the mountain with the river rushing through the trees below you. The cabin is located near the national park border. The mountains seen in the photos are within the boundaries of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The view to the west from the side and rear decks is of the mountains, along with views of downtown Gatlinburg below. At night, the lights of downtown Gatlinburg are visible on the side bridge. There is a good view of them from the master suite in the loft as well. If you want to experience the sights and sounds of Gatlinburg, but still want peace and quiet, Roaring Fork Lodge is a great place to get both.
Coolest Cabins In Pigeon Forge, Tn
Ample parking is available on two access levels. The upper driveway provides access to the main level where the kitchen is located, while the lower level provides access to the billiards room level.
If you want some time outdoors and want a bit of a rustic feel, you can follow the stone path from the main entrance or side deck to our natural stone fire pit. He is hidden at the edge of the property, where he is given a private space. There are plenty of places to sit on the large rocks surrounding it. There are also poles to hang a single hammock, the perfect place for a late afternoon nap. You can start grilling hot dogs early and enjoy the mountain views before the sun sets. As the night approaches and the evening passes, enjoy creating stories and memories by the light of the fire.
There is also a small grassy area outside the basement, for a corn hole or you can spread out a blanket and have a picnic.
Majesty Luxury Cabin
You’ll be within walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg. A 10 minute walk “downhill” is the trolleybus station. The route back to the lodge is uphill, so keep this in mind if you choose to walk. If you prefer to drive, downtown Gatlinburg is a half mile away and is close to plenty of public parking. On New Year’s Eve and the 4th of July, our cabin is in a beautiful location to watch the fireworks launch from downtown. Simply sit on the back deck and relax without fighting the crowds.
Don’t be surprised to occasionally see black bear or other wildlife on or near the property. Because we border a national park, bears and other wildlife often cross our yard. It is very common to see a bear in the warmer months. Please take care of your belongings and waste, for this reason nothing should be left that could attract a bear outside or in your vehicles.

Smoky Mountain Cabin Rentals In Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville
We had a large age range from 6 months to 60 years old and there was plenty of room for all of us. We were all impressed with the property. Chris kept us well informed in the days leading up to our stay and was quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely return to Roaring Forks.
We had a great time here! We ranged in age from 4 to 56 and everyone raved about this place. It was beautiful and very spacious, I never felt like a place was crowded.
The only complaint we had was the cleanliness. The floors were not well swept and there were many cobwebs inside the cabin which were not very small. In one of the drawers we also found some clothes that belonged to someone else. I think this definitely reflects more on who cleans the cabin and not so much on the owners.

The owners were wonderful to work with and responded very quickly to any questions I had. There was also an accident with one of the air conditioners and they tried to resolve it as quickly as possible.
