Despite the huge impact of Covid-19 on the tourism sector, it shows how the 7 member regions – Canary Islands, Croatian Coast*, Ile-de-France, Catalonia, Andalucia, Veneto and Balearic Islands – have been confirmed. The top 7 regions in the EU with the most tourists. The Occitanie region is also in the top ten. A total of 15 of the EU-27’s top 20 NUTS2 tourism regions.
Despite all the travel restrictions experienced in 2020, the most tourist-rich regions are asserting their international vocation. The 12 out of 13 EU regions with the most overnight stays by non-residents are: again the most touristic regions mentioned above, plus Valencia, Tyrol, Tuscany, Lombardy and Lazio.

Top tip for visiting Europe: Stop in different cities to save time, effort and expense on your return flight. For example, fly to London, take a train to Paris, take a train to Amsterdam, fly home from Amsterdam. For first-time travelers, the best destinations are those with a direct flight from home (or as close to a direct flight as possible) and close to each other within Europe, reducing costs and travel time. Best time to visit Europe: July and August have great weather, but everywhere else in Europe is busy, so if you have a choice (and families generally don’t), June and September are better because the weather stays great and all the beaches in the Mediterranean are still open. it is beautiful. April, May, October and early November are pleasant months for overseas sightseeing in most of Europe.
