The Toyota Corolla — driven by Cesar Hernandez, 36, the husband of Blanca Montiel, 37, who was riding in the back seat with Myra Martinez, 37 — burst into flames after the crash on Fourth Avenue at Shore Road Drive, near of the Belt Parkway and near Leif Ericson Park in Bay Ridge around 7:45 a.m. Sunday.

TV star Phil Spencer’s parents have been killed in a car crash, it has been reported.

The Location, Location, Location star’s mother and father were reported dead on Saturday after an accident at their farm in Kent on Friday.

Richard, 89, and mother Anne, 82, were pulled from the vehicle which plunged into the river but later died, The Sun reported.

Colleague Kirstie Allsopp said it was a “great source of comfort” for Phil that his parents were together when they died.

She told the paper: “I’ve spoken to Phil and it’s tragic for the Spencer family but his parents were together and that’s something that’s a huge comfort to everyone.

“The family is full of love and close. They have four children, Phil, Robert, Caryn and Helen, and have eight grandchildren.

She continued: “It’s terrible for the whole family, but in the end they were together and they were good people.

“They were going to a pub on a Friday afternoon in Kent, where they lived, they were in a place they loved, with a person they loved. Both were people of Christian faith. Phil and his siblings are comforting each other at this difficult time.”

Emergency crews, including an ambulance, were called to the scene. There was also a woman in her sixties in the car, who suffered minor injuries.

The Location, Location, Location presenter paid an emotional tribute to Anne and David Spencer on Instagram following the accident on Friday.

In the post, Spencer, 53, revealed the pair were on their way to eat when their car plunged off a bridge into the river in Littlebourne, Kent.

“Sadly, both my wonderful parents passed away on Friday,” he wrote. “As a family, we all try to hold on to the fact that mom and dad are gone together and that neither will have to mourn the loss of the other. Which is a blessing in itself.”

He added that they were both in “extremely good shape” in the days before the accident, but that his mother’s Parkinson’s disease and his father’s dementia were “getting worse”.

“So much so that my mum told me just a week ago that she has come to terms thinking ‘now it looks like we might be going together’. And so they did.

He added that their caretaker, who was also in the car, managed to get out the back window and alert Spencer’s brother.

A mother and father driving home with their two children were killed after a head-on crash in west Sacramento earlier this week, police said. The crash happened near Jefferson Boulevard and Locks Drive around 11:30 p.m. West Sacramento police said Monday. Video submitted by 3 viewers shows crews at the scene of the head-on crash, where extensive damage can be seen to both the pickup truck and the SUV. Police said the truck caught fire and the driver of the truck was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Their current condition is unknown.
