Project Runway Who Was Eliminated Last Night
Following a historic season 19 finale of Bravo’s Project Runway that featured all-female finalists for the first time, Chantal Lacailleau was named the winner on the February 3 episode.

, which you can see above. Although judges Brandon Maxwell and Nina Garcia, along with guest judge Tommy Hilfiger, were impressed with all of the final designs, the three finalists seemed understandably disappointed at not taking home first prize.
When Christian asked everyone how they felt, Christina shared that she didn’t agree with who the judges chose as the winner. “Honestly, I appreciate [the judges’] decision,” she said. “I don’t think it’s the [right] decision and I don’t think it’s right.”

Christian then explained where he thinks the judges are coming from in choosing Chantal as the final winner of season 19. “All of the collections had amazing moments. Even Tommy Hilfiger, who’s been in the business for so long, was like, ‘Wow.’ ‘He said, ‘I was really surprised,’ Christian said. ‘And I think it came down to someone who could maybe take this a little bit further as a brand and who was totally prepared.’
Although they were competitors this season, the designers had nothing but love for each other. “I really admire them in the workshop,” Chasity said of her fellow contestants.
Christina also recalled showing Coral so much “love” for her looks throughout the season, adding to Chasity, “I have no words. I love her so much. And everything she does, I love.”

You Have To Claim The American Dream, Says Project Runway Finalist Korto Momolu
Last night was the season 10 finale of Lifetime Network’s Project Runway. This is the episode in which the four best designers show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. Since the season was filmed (the season was filmed last summer), the collections they showed were for Spring/Summer 2013. The actual show was in early September and I was there.
NIKOLAKI Duo: Nick Verreos and David Paul – Mercedes-Benz NY Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013 Season 10 Project Runway Final Runway Collections
I was in New York with my NIKOLAKI design partner, David Paul, to meet in my New York showroom with several major department stores for a new line of mine, NV by Nick Verreos, so it was nice to be able to attend this La Project Runway Finale fashion too. Show at Lincoln Center.
Project Runway: Chris March Speaks Out About Paralyzing Accident One Year Later
So the big question is: will any of the designers surprise us? All season long, Tim, Nina, Heidi, Michael… and I (on my Lifetime.com blog) PRAYED that someone… someone would “surprise” us. And nothing (except Christopher Palu’s FABULOUS “Rockettes” creation). So after that, it was all up to the Final Four, and even Miss Heidi (in last week’s episode) gave them (and the rest of the judges) a “Wow” with her collections of looks from Finale NY Fashion Week 10. So… they do it? One of the 4 designers brought Wow!
Best Seatmates: Season 1 Winner Jay McCarroll, Nick Verreos and Season 2 Winner Chloe Dao – Mercedes-Benz NY Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013 Season 10 Project Runway Final Runway Collections
She was sitting next to Jay McCarroll and Chloe Dao, the winners of Project Runway seasons 1 and 2, respectively. And let me tell you, we had a great time. Not only because we like each other (a lot!), but also because of the comments we received at the show. Lifetime Network really missed an opportunity to get us on the mic and do a LIVE video that would later be posted on their website: “The Chloe, Jay and Nick Show.” If only you could hear what we’re saying (very quietly and discreetly, but still…). Now, before I get to my episode REVIEW and “Two Cents” about the final collections, I wanted to reiterate that sitting in the stands at Lincoln Center and then watching it on TV, edited and in HD, is a completely different ball game. That said…
West Philadelphia Designer Dom Streater Wins Season 12 Of Project Runway
Christopher was the cutest and funniest this season when it came to actual comments from him. And he also won four challenges, which is why I called him “Golden Boy” from season 10. When it came time for his Finale Collection, he was a bit of a medley. I felt a little disappointed. There was too much black and too much leather for a Spring/Summer collection (yes, there is always some black in every season’s collection, but especially for Spring/Summer 2013, IT’S ALL ABOUT COLOR!).
I loved it – if I had to choose one item from their collection that I loved, it would be this cropped leather jacket. This one was elegant, young and fresh, but very autumnal.
Not so much: This was his first “outing”/look and judge Michael Kors loved it. I liked the top, but it was the skirt that was a little tight on me. This gap mainly featured “OH HUNEY’s” thigh. He made a good impression when the show started, and at least in my line, it wasn’t a good impression.
Nick Verreos: Project Runway…..season 10 Project Runway Recaps: Ny Fashion Week Finale
Dress: I loved Christopher’s “final” dress. It was very much him; Ombre organza panels with bevel cut and raw edge…this dress had his “signature” on it. But when the model turned around, the fashion instructor of the last 9 years appeared and…
Wonky Back: I noticed you all “ooopsies”. Silver/gray back panels must match. Period. Unforgivable. And then there was the sloppy center back “lift” and the edge of the invisible zipper. This is what I saw in many of my fashion school students when they made bras and strapless dresses. The center back should have been “cleaned up”/stitched so it doesn’t “lift up” as you can see in the photo. It also shows that the zipper was sewn poorly: it was stretched. Call me “Sewing Negative Ninny”, but I’m sorry. It’s a sign that someone needs a little more time, as Tim Gunn, “The Fashion Incubator,” says. That back shouldn’t look like that in a New York Fashion Week “closet.” Never.
Melissa was one of the LA Castings designers we passed on to the “next round” when I judged. I loved her Chic Goth Girl aesthetic and design, especially since she looked the complete opposite with her cute, bubbly personality and her blonde hair (usually these girls look like Rooney Mara!).
Project Runway, Season 14, Episode 14:
I liked: The new “blood orange” leather asymmetrical dress she made. Draped, pleated, turtleneck…so FABULOUS! Combined with hair and booties: Go Girl!
I also liked the look above. Thank goodness she pulled out those oversized Johnny Depp ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ wraparound cuffs. This model seemed smooth and controlled.
Not so much: This blue and black leather “swimsuit” was a big “Oh no, she didn’t,” when a contestant sat LIVE at the finale show. Because? Well, you could see her underwear as she walked. It was a little disturbing to say the least, as good as HOOCHIE. I was surprised to see this from Melissa. But she looked so SUPER fabulous on TV! So there you have it…what’s the problem? Watch television or sit in the audience and watch it?
Project Runway Eliminations My Way Season 8 Episode Episode 10: There’s A Pattern Here
Oh: The white sleeveless dress. It took the model TEN MINUTES to get to the end of the runway and back while I sat in my seat watching her. I couldn’t walk in that dress. Not because of her heels, but because of the lack of hem at the hem. She needs a slit. As soon as possible. And then I noticed the side chest. Once again, the fashion school instructor in me yelled, “Add 3 inches to the side seam and fill in the side, PLEASE!”
More Side Boobage: And yes, the white dress wasn’t the only item of clothing that exposed her breasts. This previous LBD also needed my help in “Nick V. Pattern Making 101”. Notice the double tape. Major No. No.
Fabio-Freegan, Dumpster Diving, Bearded Hipster UBER Skirt… I LOVE her own sense of style. Reminds me of Malcolm McLaren’s “Buffalo Gals” from the early 80s.
