A Brave Heart: The Lizzie Velasquez Story debuted at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas.

Describing Lizzie’s emotional and physical journey over the years, it follows her progress as she tries to lobby the US government for the first federal anti-bullying bill.

“When I started speaking out, I realized I could relate to every person because we all know what it’s like to be abused and feel unsafe,” Velasquez said. “At the time, I had never felt so confident in my own skin.”
