My goal is that these comprehensive calf reviews will help reduce your order, return, order, exchange some time. Some of these brands only offered wide calf, while others had extra wide calf boots. I made sure to note this in the reviews! I also wear a size 10 shoe (wider when available) for reference.

Before I get into each shoe and review, I wanted to share my calf measurements. At most, my calf is about 18.5 inches and my ankles are about 10 inches.
Wide Calf Patent Thigh Hi Tendencies Boots
I ordered these in wide calf not realizing there was also an extra wide calf option. When they zip, they are tight. I thought I was going to peel my skin off as I was zipping them up. It looks like I’m losing a little bit of length because of the stretchiness, but I can’t tell for 100%. They are also very tight on my foot, not something I personally would be okay with. Lesson learned, I need extra wide calf boots for my calves! As far as the look of the shoe goes, I love the contrast between the dark heel and sole with the white shoe.
These wide calf knee high boots come in black, cognac, off white and red. It comes in sizes 6-12. They have a square toe and a 3 inch block heel. These boots zip up the entire length of the boot. Like most Journey boots, they come in wide and extra wide calf options. I’m wearing wide calf boots here.
This boot is a little snug on my foot, but nothing crazy. I love that the fabric is across my calves and that it goes below my knee. There is a little lump around the ankle, but it’s the least it’s been on any boot I’ve tried so far. They were out of my size in white when I first ordered, so I’ll be curious to see if the bunching is noticeable on a lighter color. All that said, I think this is a shoe worth the money for me.
Women’s Faux Leather Wide Calf Over The Knee Lace Up Brogue Boots
This shoe style comes in dark brown, white, red and tan. They are available in sizes 6-12. The Daria boot has a 3.35 inch heel and pointed toe. They zip the entire length of the boot. Available in wide and extra wide calf options.
The Journey Therese shoe has shrunk a bit on my foot, but it fits and I can walk around without pain. It fits easily over my calves and goes just below my knee. My only concern with this shoe is that the material is a bit loose and moves around my ankles. The boots come in sizes 6-12, and you can choose between green or white.
The heel is 3.25 inches and the toe is pointed. I love the unique v detailing on the front of this shoe. This zipper goes from the leg to just above the ankle. You can find this style of shoe in both wide and extra wide calf.

I really wish this boot was longer! It fits my wide feet and wide calves wonderfully. I’m just looking for a knee high boot and this one hits me mid shin. If height isn’t at the top of your list of things you’re looking for and you just want a black western boot for wide feet and wide calves, order this one!! Honestly, I’m still debating whether to keep it and try to make it work because the hunt is exhausting.
This black western boot comes in sizes 4-13. It is a slip on shoe style with pull tabs that help put it on. They have a low block heel and pointed toe.
The quality of these boots feels great. Unfortunately the calf runs short and it doesn’t zip on my left calf.

Another high quality wide calf knee high boot option! I did not like the white on me, because they are very smart. I think black would work better with the crease.
These almond toe boots are available in sizes 6-12, wide and extra wide. They come in bone, black and nude. The block heel is 2.5 inches and is an attractive style of shoe. These boots zip up the entire length of the boot.
